How do I make a reservation?

The easiest way to do this is to click on "Purchase Tickets" and then "Book Now". You can choose your day, time, room, and number of participants. If you aren't computer savvy or would rather speak with an employee to book, feel free to call us anytime at 732-864-1200 and we will be happy to make a reservation with you over the phone. Reservations must be made at least one hour in advance.

How does an escape room work?

It's a fun, problem solving experience perfect for exercising your brain and facilitating teamwork using clues, keys, codes, and hands-on tasks! You and your team have 60 minutes to complete the objective and will need to work together in order to succeed. Watch the video below and also read here.

Are the rooms difficult?

Each room is unique. Currently, "Deadwood Cabin" is currently at a 40% success rate. "Summerfield Place" is considered a hard difficulty at a 29% success rate.

Are we actually locked in the room?

No! At any time, you can leave if you wish through the door you entered in. We do not lock our doors. 

Are the rooms very tiny?

We get asked this question a lot. In fact, the rooms are fairly large. They are large enough to accommodate the maximum capacity of the room. To relax your nerves, no one has ever exited our games early because they have felt claustrophobic.

Are we handcuffed or blindfolded?

Definitely not! 

Who designed your rooms? Can I play these rooms anywhere else?

We designed our own rooms! Our rooms and stories are completely owner original and you will not be able to play our room themes anywhere else. 

Do we need to arrive early?

Yes! Please arrive 15 - 20 minutes prior to your scheduled time. This will allow us to check you in, go over rules and introduction, and allow time for members of your group to use the restroom. Your room starts at exactly the time you signed up for. Keep reading the FAQs to find out what happens if your group is late.

Please DO NOT show up earlier than 20 minutes prior. If you do so, there will most likely not be any seating for you and you will be forced to stand until we get earlier reservations in. You also run the risk of potentially hearing answers if the guests from the room booked before your time are still there. If you believe you are going to be more than 20 minutes early, give us a call and we will tell you if it's okay to come in. 

What is the minimum age requirement to do a room?

We suggest that the minimum age requirement is 12. The puzzles and riddles may prove to be too difficult for anyone younger. If you choose to bring younger players, an adult must be present in the room with them at all times.

Are children 10 and under free?

Children 10 and under are free per paid full price ticket (one free child per paid ticket purchased). If you are bringing free children with your group, you MUST contact us immediately after booking so we can reserve extra spots in the room for them. We will not hold their spot until after you have booked. In addition, if you bring children we strongly recommend that you purchase the Private Experience option (additional fee) as a courtesy to other guests if there are still available spots left in your room. See below for more information. 

When we reserve a room, will it just be my group in the room?

That is up to you! If you do not have enough players on your team to fill the room to capacity, then we have a private experience option. When you are booking your room, you will have the option to pay an additional fee for the PRIVATE EXPERIENCE. If you choose this option, we will create a private room for your group which guarantees that no one else will be able to purchase tickets and join in your room. If you do not pay the additional fee, then we will leave the time slot open for more people to join in. 

We mandate a maximum of 6 people in "Deadwood Cabin" and 10 people in "Summerfield Place." If you want to add more players, please call us at 732-864-1200.

What should I bring with me?

Upon arrival, we will ask for the name your reservation is under. You do not need to print anything to give to us. We also recommend wearing comfortable clothing. If you wear glasses, we suggest you bring them with you as you may be required to read at times during your game. 

Where are the group photos posted?

All group photos are posted to our Facebook and Instagram accounts for you to share, save, or tag yourselves in! If you would not like your photo posted online, please let us know and we can take the photo with your personal phone only.

Are the rooms scary?

Our "Deadwood Cabin" room is best suited for ages 13+ because of the theme. There are some horror elements in the game. However, there aren't any age restrictions. Any age is welcome to play as long as they are comfortable with the theme.

"Summerfield Place" is completely family friendly.

Do you do fundraising for local schools or organizations?

Is your building ADA compliant?

Yes, our doorways, hallways, and bathrooms are ADA compliant. If you have any concerns about this prior to your visit, please give us a call or stop in and we can help answer your questions and offer accommodation suggestions.

What is your refund policy?

We have a no refund policy; however, we will allow you to reschedule your escape room time slot time permitting. See below for criteria:

  • (48+ hours away) If you let us know more than 48 hours in advance, you will not receive a penalty. You can only reschedule with no penalty once. After that, you will be charged $10.00 for each reschedule.
     
  • (24-48 hours away) If you choose to reschedule 24-48 hours prior to your booking, there is a $10.00 rescheduling fee which will be charged to your credit card.
     
  • (Less than 24 hours away) No reschedules are permitted if there are less than 24 hours left before your booking. In the event of a power outage at our location, we have the right to reschedule your experience. If there is severely inclement weather (ex. snow, flooding, hurricane), both parties have the right to reschedule the event for a different day. 

What if our group arrives late?

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled booking to allow for rule explanations and waiver signing.

If your entire group is late, we will try to accommodate you but there is no guarantee. If there is another group booked after your experience, you will unfortunately lose any time you have wasted. If some members of your group are late, the game will start and those people will join the rest of the group when they arrive.

Are there leader boards?

Of course! We have a display in our lobby of teams who were worthy enough to make it up there. The criteria for making onto the leader board is different for every room, so speak with a game master for more information. You can check out the most recently updated board by clicking here. If someone in your group has already played the room, your entire team is not eligible to be on the leader board. 

What if we have already played and want to come back to try the same room again?

Please contact us before you book so we can go over the best way to accommodate you.

How often do you create new escape room designs?

Our plan is to change at least one room annually. Once this time approaches, we will shut down only one room and quickly convert it to a completely new theme and design. We have a lot of ideas! The new room would hopefully open within a few weeks to a month. 

I purchased a gift voucher for a specific room, but now the room theme has changed. Can I still use that voucher on a different room?

Since we periodically change our rooms, it is possible that you will purchase a voucher and not use it before the room is changed. We will honor the gift voucher for any room theme until the expiration date on the voucher occurs. Please contact us at 732-864-1200 if this happens to you, and we can help walk you through booking your experience with the voucher. We cannot offer a refund on your voucher.

I want to hide a gift in one of your puzzles as a surprise for someone in our group. Can you do that?

ABSOLUTELY! We love when you come up with ideas to personalize your experience. Be sure to contact us ahead of time so we can properly discuss how you would like the gift to be found and at what point in the game. 

Our Rules and Policies:

  • Absolutely no one shall be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. We have the right to refuse your entry into the game.

  • No smoking inside of the building

  • Do not climb on top of anything

  • Do not run

  • Do not use your cell phone or any electronic devices. Everything you need is already inside of the game.

  • Do not take any pictures inside of the room. We will take your group photo at the end. 

  • Do not force anything open

  • If you break or steal something, the cost of that item will be charged to your credit card
